Abstract
This presentation examines the approach Medartis AG adopted for Computer System Validation (CSV) during its SAP S/4HANA brownfield transition. In a regulated environment with diverse internal stakeholders, balancing CSV compliance with operational demands presents unique challenges. With teams operating across various time zones, aligning departmental priorities and compliance interpretations required careful coordination to maintain project alignment. Medartis applied targeted validation strategies and tools (e.g. SAP Signavio) to address these competing influences, ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and regulatory compliance without disrupting ongoing operations. This approach provides insights for teams in regulated industries managing complex ERP transformations, showcasing how a flexible CSV framework can harmonize compliance needs with internal dynamics for a successful transition.
