Abstract

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is now reinvesting massively in Drug Discovery in several sites – US, Denmark and Israel since the setup of its new Drug Discovery organisation in 2020.

As no internal capacity was available nor capable to support this growth agenda, The NEXT program was setup in 2021 to bring external expertise and build in a very short time frame the IT foundations for small and large molecules discovery.

The team is composed of highly talented individuals. During this wega breakfast you will learn more about the program, our deliveries, who is doing what and our ambitions for the future.

Our Speaker:

Julien Marchand

I am French, studied Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and IT at the University. I started my career in France as lead generation research associate at Bayer Cropscience. Then I moved as Bioinformatician at BioMérieux in 2002 on DNA chips (in vitro diagnostics). I moved to Switzerland and worked as project manager and business analyst for research at MerckSerono in 2009.

I enjoy being at the bridge between science and IT in international setups and I am now leading the NEXT program at Ferring pharmaceuticals since 2021 with the wega team.
